The Tazmania and New Zealand Songwriting Competition has announced that Brian Elkington and co-writer Tom Nance have placed 2nd and 3rd in the contemporary song category with the songs "I Wish I Had Someone To Cheat On" and "Heart That Beats With Mine".  These awards are sponsored by the Tamworth Songwriters Association.

> Brian's music is what got us together. He has something magical in his voice. He has the ability to make you dance across time as the years rolled by in minutes and then he can take you back to the time when life was so simple and high school was the only thing on your mind.
