Your love
Husband’s lament
Taking my time
Odyssey
What you mean to me
Home
And when you’re older
One for the boys
Classics
Peace of my life
The things that mothers do
Advice to myself
Boomer’s lullaby

 What the song is about
A tale of two guys playing music around the United States in search of fame and fortune.

  Ernie, Ray and Monica,
Deb and Holly, Art and April,
I wonder if they wonder what happened to the boys.

Well, we were on the road again
Moving up to Washington
To write another chapter in this story

We found some songs we used to know
And took some off the radio
We put them in a show and oh we tried so hard

And when we got the 3rd degree
We headed down to Tennessee
To see if Nashville was the key to fame and glory

We met some guys whose legends glowed
But the strain of travel it kinda showed
And after 10 years out on the road we headed home

  But it was hard going
Cause we were always strangers
It was hard going
We never had a dime
But we had music
We had great expectations
And we had all the time in the world

The world has changed so quietly
Since my old partner Dan and me
We set out on this odyssey for dreamers

Times were hard and tempers flared
But laughter known was laughter shared
We chose a road that few have dared to follow

We made some senoritas gay
Threw some Johnny Walker into 'Frisco bay
And 10,000 people heard us play our music

A tale of two embattled hearts
Who made the scenes but not the charts
Who maybe now can finally start
The journey home
